Emergency alarm causes chaos at hitchin

the communication Alarm was activated on a LNER service at Welwyn north, why it got activated I don't know. since Welwyn north only has 2 tracks instead of the usual 4, northbound trains couldn't go around it and they had to be diverted via Hertford north, including my train which was behind 5 or 6 different trains that were all being diverted. this caused delays from 40 minutes to an hour. some even were delayed by 2 hours because of this disruption. but I got to see a 91 so having to wait an extra 40 odd minutes was worth it in the end!. #train #chaos #lner #hitchin #ecml #intercity225 #grandcentral #greatnorthern #thameslink #alarm
