Not at all, but the problem begins when any of them becomes "your whole world." You're placing a role on them that they can't bear. Besides, it will be a burden you can't bear, too. You need a point of support and a foundation. This is what Jesus is talking about when he says, "Whoever doesn't love me more than father, mother, or child is not worthy of me." Immediately afterward, he puts everything in proper perspective.
