INGREDIENTS: 2 cups of all-purpose or self-rising wheat flour = 280g = 14 tablespoons ½ cup of sugar = 110g = 6 tablespoons 120g of butter at room temperature = 6 tablespoons OPTIONAL: 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, or lemon or orange zest PREPARATION: Place the flour in a bowl large enough to make the dough, add the sugar, and mix. Add the butter and, if desired, add vanilla extract or lemon or orange zest. Work all the ingredients together until you have a perfectly combined mixture, kneading lightly until smooth.
