A Poem on Seeking Knowledge and its Etiquette - الشيخ فهد بن مقعد العتيبي

This is the final chapter of Al-Shaykh Fahd ibn Muqʿid al-ʿUtaybi's versification of Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al-ʿAsqalani's Bulugh-ul-Maram, wherein he touches upon the etiquette required of a student of knowledge. The complete poem, entitled: الذَّهَبُ المَصُوعْ فِي نَظْمِ سِفْرِ الحَافِظِ الْبُلُوغ is 4495 couplets long as is based on the versification of Bulugh ul Maram completed before him by Al-Shaykh Muhammad Al-Amir Al-San'ani (Rh) along with the supplement of his student. The Shaykh aludes to this at the end of this translated segment. At the end of the poem, the Shaykh uses abjad enumeration to indicate the length of the poem as well as the year in which it was completed. The abjad alphabet is the Arabic alphabet ordered in a particular way, where each letter represents a number. So a particular phrase may be used to represent a number.
