Happy birthday to everyone celebrating today!! This is Daisuke, the head of the cram school. The video we're bringing you today is about autumn flounder fishing at Harima Shinjima in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture. With December here, the fishing has suddenly switched on!! Fishing is booming at Shinjima and also within the fishing port of Higashi Futami Artificial Island. For the past few years, fishing results at Higashi Futami and Harima Shinjima haven't been great, but it seems that some large flounder, around 25cm, are being caught. A catch of over 70 fish was also recorded at the public pier, but that was just a temporary phenomenon. Currently, the best fishing spot is the channel in the northeast of Higashi Futami Artificial Island. Flounder are also being caught sporadically, with several stone flounder over 50cm being caught at Fujie Beach to the east, making it the hottest area right now!!
