The car had a similar issue about 4 years ago when i first got got the car, when changing between 5th and 6th and this was solved with a auto gearbox oil and filter change. It's a fairly straight forward job if a little time consuming but hopefully i can make it easy enough to understand. The part number of the auto gearbox sump/filter is suitable for my car (2003 S Type R) and may be different for other cars, especially the V6 petrol and Diesels i would imagine so, please check and don't just take my word for it.
