Pressure Shift in the Golf Swing (Most Golfers Do This Too Late)
Pressure shift in the golf swing is one of the biggest reasons golfers get stuck in the downswing or struggle with consistent ball striking. Many golfers shift too late during the golf swing transition, which can cause them to stay on the trail side, spin out, come over the top, or hit fat and thin shots. In this lesson, I explain when pressure should shift in the golf swing, how to recenter during the backswing, and why the transition actually begins before you reach the top of the swing. When pressure shifts at the correct time, your body can sequence properly and the downswing becomes much easier to deliver the club with speed and control. Many golfers think about weight shift, but in reality, the key is pressure shift, how you apply force into the ground. Learning how pressure moves during the swing helps you create better rotation, sequencing, and ball striking.
