Hi guys, today let's look at tests and their importance for proper training (even at home). It's much more effective to train with the right loads rather than doing things haphazardly. You often read or hear recommendations that don't specify a percentage of your maximum resistance or maximum hang times on a given hold, and this negatively impacts your training to improve climbing performance. Today we'll look at a series of tests to calculate your maximum resistance on hangs (specifically, the 1.2cm notch on the Beastmaker 1000) and a series of additional tests to demonstrate how resistance varies at different percentages of your maximum resistance (70% RM, 80% RM, and 90% RM).
