This year we reached a record high of 22.8 million beneficiaries with an investment exceeding 140 billion pesos. The Rita Cetina Scholarship provides 2,500 pesos annually in a single payment before the start of the school year, and the scholarship for low-income students continues. We have already begun informational assemblies in public elementary schools to publicize the Rita Cetina Scholarship, which will benefit 8.4 million students. More than one million middle school students have received debit cards from the Banco del Bienestar (Bank of Well-being). All of them will receive the Rita Cetina Scholarship; it consists of 1,900 pesos every two months per family, plus 700 pesos for each additional student; new students will receive their first deposit in February. The Gertrudis Bocanegra Scholarship is part of the Michoacán Plan to help university students with transportation expenses. This support is being extended to all students enrolled at the National University “Rosario Castellanos”; the Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro (Youth Writing the Future) scholarship is already being distributed to most students enrolled in the Benito Juárez García Universities for Well-being. Support for public education includes 200 initiatives to expand spaces in upper secondary education; these consist of building and expanding school facilities, as well as opening additional shifts. In addition, we have already provided one million teaching positions. Registration for the Women's Welfare Pension and the senior citizen pension begins on February 16: gob.mx/bienestar. This week we began distributing the Women's Welfare Pension and senior citizen pension cards to those who registered in December. Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 10, we will distribute the January payment to 420,000 farmers enrolled in the Sembrando Vida (Sowing Life) program. They receive 6,450 pesos per month. The federal investment for this period is 2.923 billion pesos. Mexico continues sending humanitarian aid to the sister nation of Cuba; our essence is fraternity.
