The goal is to address the root causes of violence and steer young people away from crime. Everyone has rights. It consists of strengthening federal actions aimed at this sector; it is a fundamental element of the National Security Strategy. The Gertrudis Bocanegra Scholarship, initially focused on university students in Michoacán, will reach one million young people. The new “Margarita Maza” National High School model incorporates 30,000 adolescents aged 16 and 17 with 100 new campuses for those who have not completed middle or high school. It includes the construction of 100 campuses by 2026. All students will receive the Benito Juárez scholarship. In the 2025-2026 period, we are creating 150,000 new spaces in upper secondary education. There will also be 100 Unstoppable Mexico Community Centers in the same number of municipalities, especially those with high rates of violence, which will serve 100,000 young people. Construction of the first 61 Unstoppable Mexico Community Centers in peace zones begins in April, and they will open in August. In addition, the Boxing for Peace program will provide free training to another 100,000 young people, led by champion boxers. We will offer massive physical activity events and the National Community Work Days, which will increase from one to two million young people to reclaim public spaces; the next edition will take place on April 22. This year, various national classes are scheduled, such as self-defense for women; baseball and softball; boxing, mini-basketball, and a national race. These activities continue in states and municipalities with classes in schools and youth centers. The construction and improvement of 4,208 soccer fields is also progressing, which will benefit 4.5 million people throughout the country through the Social World Cup. On March 26, the National Youth Soccer Day will take place, featuring pickup games and juggling contests to promote the right to sport and a culture of peace. The calls for entries for the National Circuit of Festivals for Peace will be ready soon. This circuit will consist of 200 free concerts—large, medium, and community-based—in all states. They will reach seven million young people to promote collective participation through diverse musical genres. The program begins in Baja California, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Puebla, Aguascalientes, the State of Mexico, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, and Morelos. The activities of Jóvenes Transformando México (Youth Transforming Mexico) are coordinated through door-to-door visits conducted by federal agencies in priority municipalities to offer alternatives. Therefore, the Jóvenes unen al Barrio (Youth Unite the Neighborhood) program will also begin to prevent criminal activity among women and men aged 12 to 29; 10,000 young people will participate in 2026. Likewise, the Reconecta con la Paz (Reconnect with Peace) strategy will serve young people aged 12 to 35 who have committed a low-impact crime, with the goal of reintegrating them into society in coordination with judges. They will have a mentor to receive personalized support in education, culture, employment, psycho-emotional support, and addiction prevention. The “Broken Glass Breaks Your Life” campaign has begun with preventative and informational activities for young people in community centers and schools. The Lifeline 800 911 2000 remains available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are also strengthening the call for applications to the Weavers of the Homeland program for women, offering workshops on preventing dating and online violence, sexual and reproductive rights, and first-time employment and self-employment opportunities. The Youth Building the Future program is placing 250,000 people between the ages of 18 and 29 as apprentices in workplaces in exchange for a minimum wage and IMSS (Mexican Social Security Institute) health insurance.
