Myxedema Coma Nursing Pathophysiology NCLEX Hypothyroidism

Myxedema coma nursing NCLEX review on the pathophysiology, causes, signs and symptoms, and treatment (medications and pharmacology). Myxedema coma is a life-threatening complication of untreated hypothyroidism and presents with severe hypothermia, bradycardia, hyponatremia, hypoglycemia, hypotension, and myxedema. Myxedema coma is treated with intravenous thyroid hormones replacement medication, such as Synthroid.
