Blast Furnace 5 Life Extension Project - Meet Paul Evans, Project Operational Lead
Our engineers are using Virtual Reality to design and plan activities for the life-extension of Port Talbot's Blast Furnace 5. Construction on the salamander beds has started, and next month, our Blast Furnace 5 will be drained of as much liquid iron as possible to prepare for the next stage of the project. A massive and critical task - just how will it be done? Gareth Brookes, Digital Content Executive, talks with Paul Evans, Project Operational Lead, who explains the process, accompanied by virtual reality footage to help visualise the outcome of this work.
