MYR - Myanmar Folk Dance – U Shwe Yoe and Daw Moe (Traditional Dance)

U Shwe Yoe and Daw Moe Dance U Shwe Yoe and Daw Moe is a comic dance performed by a man and woman, with the man wearing an old fashioned dress while holding a small parasol in one hand, and the woman portraying a middle-aged spinster. This dance is always performed to make amusement by village lads in procession at festivals. This popular traditional Myanmar dance is presented with delightful and humorous movements to please spectators. It is also a standard routine at Pagoda festivals, ordination ceremonies and other festive occasions. In this video the dance is performed only with the background music of the musical troupe.
