Crossworlds speedrun boards are open! Let’s get straight to it This was my 2nd attempt at this. The 1st one never goes well enough where I want to upload it! Although I say that but technically my IGT splits were worse overall than my 1st run Playing as Cream cause handling and we don't get to play as Cream very often. Last time must be Heroes for me Losing is the meta. The rules even say you don’t need to win You save a lot of RTA time by not going through the ceremony. The best bit is I don't even need to intentionally throw to do it! Well mostly, I do try and avoid hitting CPUs ahead of me but that’s the only play change I’ve made. I’d rather do that than throwing the race at the end at least So I play with the Rival set to lvl10 (technically it affects all CPUs) Turns out I was the 1st one to do a speedrun with lvl10 Rival. Everyone else before had been doing it on lvl1. This is RTA timed (although honestly IGT could still benefit) and ceremony just costs a bunch of time and you aren't required to win the GP Plus it can help your level times too, You are pretty much stuck in the back a lot of the time so free boost items you wouldn't otherwise be getting and you don't have to deal with King Boom Boo or the Weights 1:59 - That was so not worth it 2:56 - 9 seconds IGT saved already? Did I do that well or did I get a better Crossworld? No idea 3:14 - Dang Tails, to me this comes across as more 'haha in your face' than 'I'm so happy I'm winning'. His Lost World personality is kicking in 10:40 - Thanks Storm! Pushing Cream out the way of the Spikes, He's a nice guy really. They are totally getting victory Ice Cream later 12:38 - 16 seconds IGT saved after 1 cup. If we keep going at this pace and manage to lose all the GPs this could be a decent run! 17:32 - There is something very satisfying about running everyone over with the truck 21:57 - Slightly unfortunate timing there. I have a terrible habit of getting rid of defensive items too quickly. Oh well, I definitely ain’t winning this GP now 25:10 - I was more focused on the Rings from Omochao than the fact I pulled Laser in 4th 26:38 - A track with Frenzy? I can handle this! 26:46 - Ok maybe I can’t handle this. Why am I so bad at the start of this track 27:59 - I have hit this snake every single time I've played this track. Surely in a future speedrun I’ll avoid it 34:35 - That was a terrible final lap. Losing anything less than a few seconds IGT would’ve been a miracle 37:28 - I must’ve been like 10 frames too quick to dodge the slime 39:48 - I’m not the only one who never knew there was a shortcut just to the right here right? The stage is a bit dark and my eyes are crap anyway. that’s my excuses 40:42 - Well that works out. I want to lose the GPs anyway 47:10 - I think I forgot I had another boost because otherwise I cannot understand why I didn’t use it 48:40 - That was a heck of a left turn at the end 57:00 - This run started off so well IGT wise but now I’m slowly losing time. Once we can autosplit by lap count it’ll be easier to tell if it’s just bad RNG or I’m actually doing worse 59:42 - Still green RTA though. I wonder how close that is to being red… 1:00:48 - I need to stop panic boosting on seeing a hazard 1:03:01 - Damn it! I did this on the 1st run too. Oh well, it will be a nice match for RTA comparisons. Definitely wasn’t this cup I did it last time though 1:07:49 - This is the 3rd time in a row a Frenzy option has been there 1:08:40 - Great timing, the precise moment the slime lands the Drill goes "I’m out" 1:10:31 - Cream is very happy to be at Chao Park. idk if you can tell. (Proceeds to go straight into a spike right after) 1:11:00 - What are these odds!? 4th Frenzy in a row and we’ve been to 3 of them 1:16:37 - Wait I won? Crap! I didn’t even notice 1:16:44 - Huh? No ceremony? (Future me looks back at the footage and noticed I only beat the rival and didn’t win the GP) I was so confused at the time 1:17:52 - That sure is some cut 1:22:30 - I like the lore that Cream plays Tag with the others 1:28:09 - I am choking the final part of the run quite badly. Fell off 2x in 10 minutes 1:35:14 - It would have been a smart idea to use the Shield before I run into a hazard 1:36:10 - Either the Crossworld I had was a quick one or I did utterly crap last run. 14 second IGT time save I was not expecting 1:42:41 - And thats time! Still green RTA which is good but by how much? 1:43:04 - Wait... How much RTA time save!? I know I won a couple GPs on the 1st run but holy fk The IGT splits did not prepare me for this
