15 Stick Fights, One Silat Surprise | Top Dog Fighting Highlights
Welcome back to Top Dog Fighting. This highlight reel comes from our March 21, 2026 fight session at ACS Mixed Martial Arts in La Marque, Texas. We had 15 fights on the floor, featuring a wide range of experience levels, but every participant was a returning fighter who understood the purpose of the day: pressure test your skills, learn from the results, and get better. One of the most interesting developments from this session was the introduction of Silat concepts into the mix. The unorthodox angles, entries, and movement patterns caught several fighters by surprise and created problems that many of our regular fighters hadn't encountered before. That's exactly why we do this. At Top Dog Fighting, we don't treat any system, style, or technique as sacred. Whether it comes from Filipino Martial Arts, Silat, Boxing, Wrestling, BJJ, Judo, or another combat system, everything is welcome on the floor—as long as it's pressure tested. If something works, it earns respect. If something fails, we examine why and make adjustments. The goal isn't to protect an ego. The goal is to improve. This session produced some great exchanges, smart tactical adjustments, aggressive attacks, effective counters, and plenty of learning opportunities. Every fighter left with a better understanding of what works under pressure and what still needs development. Special thanks to all the fighters who stepped onto the floor and put their skills to the test. Train hard. Stay humble. Keep learning.
