When Carbon Fiber Goes Wrong
In case you missed it, I'm building a robot arm that can (hopefully) move a camera around to get really cool shots. I'm taking a break from machining to experiment with composites, namely carbon fiber. The goal is to make useable parts from 3d printed molds. And I have to warn you, this video is not for the faint of heart. And composites... aren't easy. CHAPTERS: 00:00 - Intro 01:42 - Step 1: Starting Small 03:00 - Building the Wrist Cover 05:50 - Step 2: Just Keep Swimming 08:18 - Step 3: This Time We Got This 11:18 - Step 4: If At First You Don't Succeed 12:54 - Step 5: The Definition of Insanity 15:14 - The Breakdown (Literally) Music by Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio / @whitebataudio #carbonfiber #robotics #3dprinting
