Finally a Real Cantaloupe Harvest! Picked, Washed & Graded

Finally… a real cantaloupe harvest, picked, washed, and graded for farmers markets! After weeks of waiting, we’re finally into a big melon harvest. We kick things off with a small sweet corn pick before switching gears to tackle our first major cantaloupe haul of the season. Using the flatbed wagon, pallets, and bins, we pick 400 melons — with 13 minutes of nonstop “flying cantaloupe” action as the crew tosses and catches melons straight from the field. Along the way I show how to tell when a melon is ripe, and we share some laughs as Elijah redeems himself after missing a throw by catching two at once — Spider‑Man style! After racing the clock to load 60 melons for our mobile produce trailer before it left the farm, we wrap up with zucchini and cucumber harvests, washing and grading cantaloupes into two sizes, and loading them into the cooler for storage.
