I Knew This Was a Bad Idea

This race was a reminder that competition pressure can affect decision-making, even for experienced pilots. The mistake was not landing out — that is a normal part of racing. The mistake was continuing to push after the situation had already started to deteriorate. I’m sharing this flight honestly because there are lessons in it, both for me and for others.
