This Race Destroyed Most Pilots...

This race had only been completed once before… and on this day, most pilots didn’t make it. Tasked from El Peñon to Lake Vittoria (65km), this route pushed intermediate gliders to their limits. After the mountains and plateau, the real challenge began — the flatlands. Weak thermals, strong drift, and gliders landing out everywhere. This was one of those races where you have to change gear — stop trying to win, and just try to stay in the air. Thanks for all the feedback on the last video — I’ve taken a lot of that on board here, especially around how I show the key moments and decisions during the race. It’s made a big difference. 👉 I'll be breaking down the critical moments from this flight, including what I should have done differently and what the winner did better, over on Patreon (7 days free):   / darrenbrownextremesports   If you want to fly higher, further and faster — and avoid the mistakes that cost places in races like this — that’s where I go deeper. Let me know in the comments — what are your experiences of switching into “survival mode” mid-flight?
