It’s a peaceful morning, the perfect atmosphere for a slow start to the day on two wheels. From there, I head into Vitry-sur-Seine, a city known for its bold street art and creative energy. Once heavily industrial, Vitry has transformed into a cultural hub filled with murals, street installations, and a raw urban vibe. Next comes Ivry-sur-Seine, where modernist architecture meets everyday life. Its dense residential areas, local markets, and active streets offer a glimpse into a more authentic and unfiltered side of the Parisian suburbs. Crossing into Paris through Porte de Choisy, I follow Boulevard Masséna and then Rue Jeanne d’Arc, moving toward the heart of the city. Le parcours commence juste devant l’Hôtel de Ville de Choisy-le-Roi, un bâtiment élégant, symbole de l’histoire royale de la commune. Une matinée paisible, idéale pour commencer la journée doucement, à vélo. Je poursuis ensuite vers Vitry-sur-Seine, ville connue pour son énergie créative et son art urbain omniprésent. Autrefois industrielle, Vitry est aujourd’hui un véritable musée à ciel ouvert, avec ses fresques, ses installations de rue et son ambiance brute et vivante. Puis, j’arrive à Ivry-sur-Seine, où l’architecture moderniste côtoie la vie quotidienne. Entre marchés locaux, rues animées et immeubles imposants, Ivry révèle un visage authentique de la banlieue parisienne. J’entre dans Paris par la Porte de Choisy, avant de suivre le boulevard Masséna puis la rue Jeanne d’Arc, en direction du centre. L’atmosphère devient plus animée, le paysage urbain se transforme peu à peu – les tours de béton laissent place aux immeubles haussmanniens. Je fais une courte pause à la Gare d’Austerlitz, un lieu chargé d’histoire, où passé et présent du transport parisien se rejoignent.
