I Accidently Explored An ACTIVE Welsh Quarry! Solo Campervan Adventure
This weekend I headed to North Wales alone in the camper van while Han was away in Croatia. What started as a relaxing camping trip quickly turned into an incredible adventure exploring some of Wales’ historic slate mining areas. From abandoned miners’ cottages and forgotten machinery to active quarry workings and stunning mountain views, this trip was packed with history and exploration. I spent two nights camping near Ffestiniog, climbed through old slate workings, explored abandoned buildings frozen in time, and finished the day with proper fish and chips in town. If you enjoy camper van adventures, Welsh history, abandoned places and stunning scenery, this is one you won’t want to miss.
