We are on Samosir Island, where we were going to spend the night in a traditional Batak house. The wooden floor of the house wasn’t in the best condition, and a plank broke under Jack, injuring his leg. We’re heading to the hospital to check whether Jack’s bones are intact. This trip is also a chance to see the island. We look at Batak tombs, gaze at the waters of Lake Toba, and visit a market in a fishing village.
