Rainier Watching Over Us ⛰️ | A Song About Mount Rainier and Quiet Wonder

If you spend enough time in Washington State, sooner or later someone will say: “If the mountain is out today, you’re lucky.” At first, I didn’t understand what they meant. Then one morning, the clouds opened. And there it was. Mount Rainier. Massive, silent, and impossibly beautiful. This song is about that moment. The moment when something larger than yourself suddenly appears and reminds you that not every answer must be found in words. Rainier stands above the forests, the highways, the ferries, and the cities of Washington. It has watched generations come and go, storms pass, and lives unfold beneath its shadow. For many people here, the mountain feels almost like an old friend. For me, it became something else as well. A reminder that life does not always need to move faster. A reminder that strength can be quiet. A reminder that beauty often comes from simply remaining. This song is the second entry in my Washington State song series.
