Barcus asks to help Wulbren see sense. Wulbren reveals his Runepowder plans for Gortash'es Steel Watch to stop the tyranny and puts all the blame on the Gondians. Barcus pleads against Wulbren's plan but Wulbren brushes him off. Wubren is not willing to consider the Gondians may not be acting out of their own will. Protagonist takes the Runepowder Bomb just in case.
