O poder de uma REFORMA que respeita a ARQUITETURA original
Today I'm taking you to see another incredible project by Maurício Nóbrega, and I'll tell you right now that this is one of those projects that shows how good architecture doesn't need to reinvent everything to completely transform a space. After the success of the penthouses we've already featured here, I wanted to showcase a house, and this one, in Jardim Botânico, is a perfect example of how respecting the essence of a property can be the greatest success of a project. The proposal was to preserve the original structure and enhance what already existed, with targeted interventions that expand the spaces and update the house without losing its identity. One of the most interesting aspects is the use of black as an element of depth and sophistication, creating an elegant background that highlights furniture, works of art, and the architecture itself. The house gains even more strength from the active participation of the residents, with carefully selected pieces, sentimental objects, and a collection built up over time, which brings a real sense of history and belonging. This combination of curation, memory, and architecture gives each room personality and completely avoids generic solutions. The integration of spaces is another highlight, connecting the living room, gourmet area, and outdoor area in a fluid and inviting way, while solutions such as the playroom and the office show how the project adapts to the family's dynamics. This house was also designed to anchor the work of nutritionist Helena Villela ( / helenavillela , who gained a functional kitchen prepared for recording her content. In the end, it's a house that proves that well-done architecture is about balance, intention, and permanence.
