Exploring Brehon Tower Guernsey 2020 #fortress #castle #abandoned

An exploration of Brehon Tower in the Little Russel Guernsey. This Oval fortification has stood on Brehon rock since 1856 and is one of only a handful left. We gained access through Guernsey Harbours which we thank and also through the States of Guernsey at Frossard House. Over the years I have passed this Protected Monument hundreds of times and always wondered what secrets were hidden inside of her belly. The views from her Gun platform give some of the best and most interesting panoramic views of Guernsey, Herm and Jethou. Now a home to nesting birds of many different kinds at certain times of the year. Warning to others, do not attempt landing or trying to enter this building unless you have permission from relevant authorities. It is dangerous so you have been warned. The currents are strong at most states of the tide.
