正しく弾いているのに、演奏が空っぽになる理由|三味線を「身体で聴く」稽古 <上級編>
Even though you're playing correctly, your performance somehow feels boring. The pitch and rhythm are perfect, yet the performance sounds empty. In this video, we discussed one of the reasons for this: The question of "how you listen to music." Is the pitch correct? Is the rhythm correct? Is it correct? Is it good or bad? These kinds of judgmental listening methods are necessary for refining your performance. However, if this way of listening becomes too strong, you may end up evaluating the music with your mind before you can truly appreciate it, and eventually stifle your own performance. What we'll discuss today, "listening with your body," isn't about inflating preconceived notions. When you hear a sound, where in your body does it actually react? How does that reaction connect to your emotions, memories, images, and actions? And then, bringing that reaction back to the sound. This video discusses the starting point of such practice. This content is intended for those who want to progress from learning to play the shamisen correctly to exploring their own unique sound. *This video only aims to introduce the concept of "so-called listening." For deeper practice, we recommend learning carefully from an experienced instructor.
