An odd day on the Ex-Erie Main Line in Northern Bergen County New Jersey. 2/26/25

We took the opportunity to go out on a gorgeous winter day to Railfan New Jersey Transit in the area between Ho-ho-kus and Ramsey, NJ. We saw lots of trains but were mostly powered by newer locomotives. Some F40’s and Geeps were seen and a couple of NS local freights. The line was messed up a bit due to an earlier broken down train #45 which caused a ripple effect of delayed and cancelled trains. We see the ill-fated equipment of #45 later to become #64 being dragged back by train #66 which was nothing more than an equipment move since #66 was cancelled due to its delay in going to Port Jervis to pick up #64’s equipment. Other than that you will see and hear the solid horns of some older locomotives during the PM Rush at Ramsey. Numerous trains will be seen by the restored WC Tower in Waldwick, NJ as well. You never know what will happen on the old Erie Main Line
