Solo Hiking Chamonix / /La Flégère to Grand Balcon Sud

This is day 2 of my trip to Chamonix France in the Fall of 2022 Day 1:    • Hiking Grand Balcon Nord & Aiguille du Mid...   Day 3:    • Solo Hiking Chamonix  // La Jonction and G...   On this day I hiked 18 miles and 7,200 vertical feet. I walked from Chamonix to the La Flégère cable car (near Lac Blanc) and hiked up to the ridgeline to Lac Cornu and Lac Noris, from here I followed the ridge trail to Grand Balcon sud and the plan Praz cable car. After returning to town via cable car after some food and a beer I ran the Cascade du Dard hike to end my day with a waterfall. I decided to skip the Tour De Mont Blanc on this trip and use Chamonix as my home base on this trip and it turned out to be the best decision ever. It allowed me to see the best sections of trail, offer me total flexibility, and allowed me to enjoy town every night. Chamonix is a picturesque town in the French Alps, at the base of Mont Blanc and a world base for outdoor sports like climbing, trail running, mountaineering, paragliding and everything else. It is a paradise for outdoor lovers and a place I've been looking forward to visiting for many years.
