MP Cecily Mbarire booed in her constituency

Runyenjes member of parliament, Cecily Mbarire was booed by residents of Kavutiri, Runyenjes Constituency after taking the podium. Residents claim that Mbarire has been the member of parliament for Runyenjes but has not done much for them. Mbarire did not finish her speech. The main complaint they have against her, is that she has not done anything to make them access water nearer to their homes. Mbarire intends to vie for the Embu County governor's seat in a hot contest against Lenny Kivuti and the incumbent Martin Wambora among many others, all in the Jubilee Party.
