Pula is a small city located on the Istrian Peninsula in Croatia, and is also a very popular summer destination, boasting many beaches and several music and film festivals. This was our first stop in Croatia and also our first introduction to the country. We visited Pula in the fall, and although some places had already closed for the season, we still enjoyed our visit. In this travel video, we'll show you all the places we visited in Pula and also one of our favorite restaurants in the city. 10 Things to See, Do, and Eat in Pula, Croatia 🇭🇷 Tour Guide: Perfect Pula Itinerary 🍕 1) Pula Amphitheater 2) Pula Port 3) Pula Cathedral 4) Pizzeria Jupiter 5) Pula Castle 6) Roman Forum 7) Temple of Augustus 8) Roman Mosaic 9) Valsaline Beach 10) Pula Sunset Walk 📝 What to Do in Pula, Istria (vlog in Spanish) Introduction to Pula – We arrive on the Istrian peninsula for several days of Roman history, the Adriatic Sea, and great food. Roman Amphitheater – Icon of the city, dating from the 1st century, admission 50 kuna (-10 USD) with an explanatory brochure; it has been compared to the Colosseum in Rome. Marina Walk – Starting point for excursions to Brijuni National Park; We left it for another day because hunger was the order of the day. (Failed) Visit to Pula Cathedral – Closed to the public, we only took exterior photos. Lunch at Pizzeria Jupiter – Two pizzas: Istriana (local ingredients) and Frutti di Mare + dry red wine; pizza is all the rage here due to its proximity to Italy. Pula Castle (Kaštel) – Star-shaped Venetian fortress (1630); 20 kuna entry and spectacular views of the amphitheater and port. Forum & Temple of Augustus – Still vibrant Roman square; we paid 10 kuna to see a small interior with classical statues (opinion: best admired from the outside). Roman Mosaic “Punishment of Dirce” – World War II find; free entry via a parking lot marked “Rimski Mozaik”. Croatian Ice Cream – A sweet stop after all that walking; Creamy flavors, one mysteriously "pink" but delicious. Day 2 – Pebbly beach – October: fresh air, cold water (not "lukewarm" as promised), but it's worth getting your feet wet and exploring the typical pebble coast. Photogenic sunset – Return to the amphitheater and marina to capture the golden light before saying goodbye to the city.
