This week we're talking about dial purpose. We look at a variety of models that we feel demonstrate either taking a backseat to the case, or where the dial comes front and centre and commands all the attention. A couple of very traditional Cartier models in the Tank Louis and an excellent example of a Tortue from 1974. Contrast that with the new H. Moser & Cie Streamliner model with an oceanic blue dial made completely of enamel. In a more universal case size, this dial commands all the attention and lives up to the quality and effor that Moser put into all of their dials. Next we talk about some Rolex models. A modern Datejust with a blue dial fluted in their now synonymous pattern. Pair that with a more classic vintage Day-Date with a linen dial. A creamy white dial that takes the appearance of fabric, a really special variation on the classic Day-Date. Lastly, our big-hitter for the week, a rose gold Daytona with an 'out of this world' meteorite dial, excuse the pun. This is the perfect example of a dial demanding complete attention from the rest of the watch.
