Join us as we visit a very special place in Israel—Shiloh, the first capital of the Hebrew people. This was the site chosen to establish the Tabernacle, the house of God. And if the Tabernacle was established here, it meant that for 369 years, all of Israel came to worship the Lord, making it the center of the nation's worship. It was in Shiloh that Joshua ratified the covenant with Israel and laid a stone as a witness to the ceremony. The great leader Joshua's final call was for the tribes to make a decision and choose whom they would serve. Joshua was aware that the Israelites possessed idols. If the young nation wanted to enjoy the Lord's favor, they had to turn away from all their idols. Joshua invited them to choose, but at the same time, he set his own example: "As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." We too must make a decision today: whom will we serve? Idols can enter our lives without us even realizing it. Today is our turn to consecrate ourselves to the Lord with all our hearts.
