Broken wood bowls are no fun, but you can repair some wooden bowls so that they look better than the original. Learn to fix a wooden bowl with a colorful accent, in the Japanese Kintsugi style. Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese art form that uses gold to repair ceramic bowls. Here I use epoxy with gold colorant to simulate a Kintsugi artful repair on a wooden bowl. The repair makes the bowl look better than it would have been had it not broken, and the repair is extremely strong and easy to make. I will be using this Kintsugi technique more in the future, and I might even break an occasional bowl on purpose just to incorporate some Kintsugi technique into it.
