Every project teaches us something new, but this one has been unlike anything we've ever attempted. When a large tree on our property had to come down, we couldn't bear to see it go to waste. Instead, we milled it into lumber and, with the help of our neighbor Kevin, set out to build a traditional timber-framed shed using the very tree that once stood hon this property. Over the past few weeks we've excavated the hillside, installed a French drain, poured the footings, and carefully crafted this structure by hand. In today's episode, it's finally time to move the frame, add the roof, stain it, and see if we can pull the whole thing off.
