For many decades in the Kharkiv region, an inconspicuous railway platform between Taranovka and Borki stations was called Pervomayskaya and was little known to anyone. In 2000, her historical name was returned - Spasov Skit, given to her more than 120 years ago in honor of the amazing event that took place on this site. Tsar Alexander III with his wife and children (including the future Russian Emperor Nicholas II) followed from the Crimea to St. Petersburg. On October 17, 1888, the royal train, leaving Taranovka station, crashed. As a result of the disaster, 21 people died and 35 were injured. Let's see what this royal train wreck looks like today!
