A Season of Love || Thales Venghen - Round 2: The Friends You Have Met ~ Gosh, has it really been 6 months since Round 1? That's crazy, but hopefully the editing improvement shows hopping from R1 to R2. I want to thank oOZewyOo (‪@oOZewyOo‬), 2009JoRose (‪@2009JoRose‬), Honeyberry (‪@Lovely_RoseX‬), Sugarmint Milky (‪@SugarmintMilky‬), and ConfettiPetti (‪@confettipetti‬) for all plotting with me. Please go watch and support their channels, too! ~STORY POINTS~ Thales wakes up the day after the ball to find a note left from Uberta. Apparently it will be a relaxed week. But is it every really relaxed in this castle? Thales spends one of his free days with Rei. Taking it easy. Thales is beginning to notice the glares and hushed whispers from the nobles within the castle, but doesn't give them any mind. Days pass before the Queen joins everyone for breakfast and announces Uberta's next plan for the guests. They want the guests to prep and share a meal, to share a piece of themselves and their home. Thales feels a lot more confident about this kind of challenge. He joins Robin in visiting the castle town, checking the market for ingredients. (There was a whole scene where Thales asks Uberta about a local farm to get farm fresh ingredients, like eggs and milk, but for the sake of the pacing I wanted for the video, I cut it. Maybe I'll upload a seperate video to showcase the farm visit :D) While leaving the castle town with Robin, Thales notices a circus being set up. Thales gets to work making his meal, a complete, authentic, farm breakfast. Egg sandwhiches, pancakes with maple syrup and strawberries, and a fresh glass of milk. Everything turns out alright, and Thales shares the food with everyone for breakfast. Kalis makes an announcement on a different breakfast meal. He shares that he and Mayra are interested on courting one-on-one the guests visiting the castle.Thales learns that Mayra wishes to spend an afternoon with him and begins to stress about what to do. While stressing, Thales comes across River who appears to be stressing even more than he is. She shares that she's nervous about her date with Kalis. Thales, being the mess he is, doesn't have much to offer her but shares that he saw a circus coming into town. Maybe she could use it as a distraction. River isn't suddenly better, but she appreciates the distraction. Someone did notices that Thales was nervous, Aeliana. She decides to take him out and show him proper dinner etiquette. After fumbling the silverware a couple times, Thales decides that sharing a meal with Mayra is out of the question. He asks Aeliana for advice and she shares that he should make a date that shares what Thales likes and what Mayra might like. Thales asks what kind of date Aeliana would want to go on. She shares her fairytale-like dates, explaining that she wants her romance to be like a fairytale. Aeliana shares her date idea with Thales. He's surprised at the idea, but amused that Uberta is working with Aeliana. Aeliana shares how genuine and happy she feels about the date, and Thales can't help but feel bad about thinking her date idea was silly. Aeliana further goes on to say that Thales is a great guy and that she knows Mayra will see that, too. To put it bluntly, Thales is shocked and he might be starting to catch the feelings for Aeliana. (Or were they always there? And he's just seeing it now?) He decides to push those feelings down, thinking they're probably nothing. Thales plans a date for himself and Mayra. A visit to the castle town market, before they go to people-watch together. He sends the invite via bird messengers. (Don't ask. Maybe he's a Disney princess... Don Bluth is gonna strike me down.) Mayra joins him, enjoying the market and accompanies him to sit on a higher building to overlook the people below. They chat about their expectations for the Season. Mayra talks about how she's ready for the throne, but somewhat resents the Season since she wants to naturally find true love. She also wishes she had more opportunities to visit the countryside. Thales offers that she can visit Baumer anytime, allowing her to use him as an excuse (platonically). They enjoy the evening together, seeing this as a beginning of a wonderful friendship. Thales returns to his room and feels prompted to write his grandfather. He sits down and finally decides to pen him a letter, sharing about his ventures so far and the friends he has made.
