In an exclusive statement to Al Arabiya, U.S. Central Command spokesman Timothy Hawkins said: “Iran does not control the Strait of Hormuz, and we are assisting ships in transiting the strait. Any ship that does not violate the blockade can pass through Hormuz, and the blockade on Iran has been very effective. Iran complied with our orders during the blockade, and we are ready to carry out any mission requested of us. We continue to strike Iranian military targets and are fully prepared to confront any Iranian threat.
