The death of Brazilian influencer and model Kauana Bilhar in Dubai is puzzling police in the United Arab Emirates. She fell from the 29th floor of her apartment building, and investigators have ruled out any possible cause. The only person who witnessed the accident was her girlfriend, Bárbara, who lived with her. At just 26 years old, the young woman had thousands of followers on social media who followed her luxurious and sophisticated lifestyle. Her mother, Darla Bilhar, spoke exclusively to Domingo Espetacular and recounted her story and the repercussions of the case, which may even have been a case of femicide. Kauana wanted to become an international flight attendant, and the United Arab Emirates was one of her favorite destinations or bases. Working in that field had always been her dream; that's why she lived in the Middle East. Darla received the news of her daughter's death just minutes later when her girlfriend contacted her, distraught, reporting that the influencer had jumped from the balcony. After that, Bárbara was detained, and her mother was left without knowing exactly what had happened. New information only arrived almost 24 hours later. Local police are not ruling out any hypothesis and consider that she may have been a victim of femicide, a homicide motivated by passion, or that she took her own life. According to Darla, Kauana struggled with depression and was taking medication. A friend of the model interviewed by Domingo Espetacular says that the relationship with Bárbara was recent, about three months old, but with several conflicts. “They were jealous of each other. In recent weeks, she wanted to hire a bodyguard to go out with Kau,” he told the reporter. “The relationship was turbulent, I won't lie to you about that. They would fight, fight, and then a little while later everything would be fine. And they lived together,” he continues. The apartment they lived in belonged to Kauana. Domingo Espetacular had access to audio messages sent by the girlfriend to a friend. “Help me, come here. I’ll pay for everything, please help me. My parents can’t come. She jumped, I saw her cut! I was fine with her, she said I was the person she loved most, that she was tired of the world, that she wanted to stay with her father in the white garden,” the recording said. She goes on to say that “everyone would be saying it wasn’t suicide. “I have one thing with me: I don’t accuse anyone if I don’t have proof,” Bárbara reiterated. Darla traveled to Dubai to closely follow the investigations. Security authorities conducted a forensic examination of the apartment where they lived in an attempt to find traces that could indicate the cause of death. Images from the building’s security cameras are also being analyzed.
