0046 Camino del Cid Etapa 2

Stage 2 of the Way of El Cid, The Exile Departure from Santo Domingo de Silos and arrival in El Burgo de Osma Like the previous stage, the route was a hybrid of dirt tracks and paved roads, since my traveling companion isn't too keen on dirt tracks, so I adapted the route while trying to respect all the places along the original route. The intense heat took its toll on this stage, due to an extreme heatwave across Europe, and it's unusual for temperatures to reach 40°C in this region at the end of May. In the end, we covered 93 km with 713 meters of elevation gain, with only 3 climbs, the longest being about 4.5 km and averaging 4%.
