0045 Camino del Cid Prologo y Etapa 1

After participating in the 2016 edition of the 10,000 del Soplao race in Cantabria on Saturday, we traveled to Burgos on Sunday, but not before stopping in Vivar del Cid, the birthplace of El Cid Campeador. We headed to the Molino del Cid (El Cid Mill), where Javier has a veritable museum. He stamped our pilgrim's passports and explained some very interesting aspects of El Cid's history. "Thank you, Javier!" After the visit, we continued on to Burgos, where we stayed overnight before setting off early the next day towards Santo Domingo de Silos. The route was a hybrid of gravel and road, as my riding partner isn't a big fan of dirt tracks, so I adapted the route, trying to stay on all the original paths. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Jimena from the Camino del Cid Consortium, who very kindly sent us the pilgrim's passports by mail. @CaminodelCid1 @conalforjas5315 @scottsports @TopeakCycling @xsauceoficial @TufoTyres @DJI #gravel #gravelbike #mtb #biketravel #cycling #bicycle #panniers #tubeless #tubelesstyres #roadcycling #mtb #biketourists #biketouring #tourism #tourismspain #tourismeurope #cyclingroutes #cyclingroutes #roadbike #onabike #pedaling #twowheels
