St Margaret's Holy Well, Ballynagun East, Cooraclare, Co Clare. Pattern Day 20 July, Cure for the eyes. the Well was empty when I visited but it was during a long dry spell. A large Ash in leaf behind the Well and a Hawthorn, just out of flower. Set in a meadow, just off the main road to Cooraclare. Painted white when I visited but you could see it had been blue previously. The unusual addition of a celtic Cross beside the Well House, which has a pvc house window frame protecting the statues. No offerings visible but a faint track way beaten through the long grass showed visitors had been.
