4 Tahun DARI OJOL ke Juara Internasional: Kilatnya Karir Bang Elvin EZ Flowerhorn

"Always be grateful and never give up." That is the sentence that is the guideline in cultivating Louhan for Elvin Zaenal or familiarly called Bang Elvin, a Louhan fish breeder and owner of EZ Flowerhorn, a Louhan farm in the Cilodong area, Depok City, West Java. This 40-year-old man actually has no background in the world of fisheries. In fact, the owner of EZ Flowerhorn was a project worker for 6 years (2006-2012). After no longer working, he chose to become an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver. About himself starting to cultivate Louhan when he became an ojol driver. In 2019, while working as an ojol, Bang Elvin began to "learn" more about the fish nicknamed "si jenong". He began to enter several Louhan fish lover communities. Like a match made in heaven, in 2021, the owner of EZ Flowerhorn was invited to collaborate by becoming a seller. His journey in the Indonesian flowerhorn world became smoother when in 2023 Elvin Zaenal met a Singaporean. There, he managed to raise his name in the world of Louhan contests. In fact, the owner of EZ Flowerhorn also succeeded in making Indonesia's name famous abroad, specifically in Malaysia. However, the collaboration with the Singaporean had to stop in the same year. And, Bang Elvin is now starting a collaboration with someone he calls "Pak Haji," the owner of the land currently used for Louhan cultivation. The collaboration between the owner of EZ Flowerhorn and Pak Haji went according to plan, until Bang Elvin managed to produce a series of Louhan which he named the NK (Nangka) Series. In a relatively short time and despite not having a background in the fisheries world, Elvin Zaenal is real proof that something can be done as long as you are always grateful and never give up. In my opinion, Bang Elvin is a low-profile cultivator. Even though his career journey is brilliant in the flowerhorn world, he always says "Excuse me, Bang, I'm just a new player in Louhan".
