Before "playing" with flowerhorns, this 41-year-old man owned a Chinese food business for four years (2010-2014). His turnover was impressive, reaching between Rp 3 million and Rp 4 million per day. Unfortunately, the business, owned by Carren Chandra Farm, went bankrupt in 2014. Feelings of sadness, frustration, and even depression all mixed together at the time. However, Carren Chandra realized he had to get back on his feet quickly for the sake of his family: his wife and children. With the remaining capital from his culinary business (approximately Rp 5 million), the father of two tried raising flowerhorns. Three months later, Koh Aan started selling flowerhorns on Facebook and gained customers. Feeling his knowledge of Flowerhorns (Louhan) still lacking, the owner of Careen Chandra Farm went on a "blusukan" (blurry trip) to find as many references as possible. He encountered bitter experiences, from being insulted to the worst, even being sent magic. However, these experiences did not dampen his determination to continue learning more about this ornamental fish, which has a characteristic knobbly head. The years 2018-2019 marked the beginning of Carren Chandra Farm's rise to public recognition, especially in the Flowerhorn world, as Koh Aan competed in his first Flowerhorn contest. His achievements in the Flowerhorn contest arena were quite impressive, followed by impressive sales of his Flowerhorns. The most expensive Flowerhorn he ever sold was priced at IDR 70 million per fish, while his market reach extended to international markets: Malaysia, Singapore, and even China.
