Gospel Identity

In this message from Galatians 4:8–31, Mike Nelson reminds us that the gospel gives us a new identity—not as slaves trying to earn God’s favor, but as sons and heirs who are known and loved by Him. Through Paul’s warning to the Galatians, we see the danger of turning back to legalism, false teaching, or self-reliance instead of trusting fully in Christ. Mike points us to the freedom God designed for us, a freedom that comes not from outward religious effort but from hearts changed by grace. This message also encourages us to trust God’s timing and His ways, even when He works differently than we would choose. As we learn to live from our identity in Jesus, God patiently teaches us to let go of control, receive His truth, and walk in the freedom of the gospel.
