I invite you to stroll with me through the streets of Quedlinburg. Charming Quedlinburg is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Germany and Central Europe. This small Saxon town is world-famous for its half-timbered houses. The historic center boasts over 1,500 buildings constructed using this technique. Miraculously, Quedlinburg survived World War II and escaped the socialist "renewal" of the GDR. As a result, the entire Old Town is now deservedly included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. At the end of the film, you'll see the world's largest cuckoo clock, located in the town of Gernrode, near Quedlinburg.
