Chesterfield Worksop canal Kiveton park Norwood tunnel closing the gap
The Chesterfield canal still needs to be completed between Kiveton and Staveley. Today I walk from one side of the Norwood tunnel to the other, at the time of its construction by James Brindley it was 1.75 miles long and the longest tunnel in the world.
