Hi everyone! I'm Jo, and this is my cat Macchou 🐈✨ Today I'm making American Chicken Meatloaf 🇺🇸🍗 Day 38 of our world food tour — America! When I made Japanese stuffed bell peppers with chicken mince a while back, @Dr. Stirfry-san mentioned that it reminded him of meatloaf — and that he had never tried it with chicken before! So I decided I had to make a chicken meatloaf just for him 😊 Thank you so much for always joining my live streams and cooking with me 🐈🍳 I hope this video can be part of your relaxing time. And of course, Macchou will probably come to check it, as always 🐾🐈 ーーー American Chicken Meatloaf 🇺🇸🍗 Small Loaf Pan (15.5 × 8.5 × 5.5cm) ■Serves 2 🍽️ Ingredients 🍽️ 🐔 Ground chicken (thigh recommended)　300g 🧅 Onion (finely chopped)　1/2 (approx. 100g) 🫑 Red bell pepper (finely chopped)　1/4 (approx. 40g) 🫑 Green pepper (finely chopped)　1/2 (approx. 20g) 🍞 Breadcrumbs　30g 🥛 Milk　40ml 🥚 Egg　1 🧈 Butter　10g 🧂 Salt　1/2 tsp 🌶️ Black pepper　1/3 tsp 🔴 Paprika powder　1/2 tsp 🌿 Oregano　1/2 tsp 🌿 Dried parsley　1 tsp (if available) 🍅 Glaze 🍅 Ketchup　3 tbsp 🫙 Worcestershire sauce　1 tbsp 🍯 Honey　2 tsp 🌶️ Black pepper　to taste 👩‍🍳 Instructions 1️⃣ 🧅 Melt butter in a pan. Sauté onion, red bell pepper, and green pepper for 7–8 minutes until soft and sweet. Turn off heat and let cool completely. 2️⃣ 🍞 Mix breadcrumbs with milk and let soak for 2–3 minutes. 3️⃣ 🐔 In a bowl, combine ground chicken, sautéed vegetables, soaked breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and parsley. Mix well for 2–3 minutes until sticky. 4️⃣ 🍳 Line a loaf pan with baking paper. Press the mixture in firmly, removing air pockets. Round the top slightly for an authentic look. 5️⃣ 🔥 Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes. 6️⃣ 🍅 While baking, mix all glaze ingredients together. 7️⃣ 🍅 After 30 minutes, spread glaze generously on top. Bake for another 15–20 minutes. Raise to 190–200°C for the last 5 minutes for a glossy finish ✨ 8️⃣ 🎉 Done when the internal temperature reaches 75°C! Rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing to keep it from falling apart ✨ 💡 Note Sautéing the vegetables well gives deep flavor even without garlic 🧅 Apply the ketchup glaze thick — that's the American home-style way 🍅 Slice it thick the next day and make it into a sandwich — absolutely delicious 🥪🇺🇸 🥔 Suggested sides Mashed potatoes · Corn · Green beans · Carrots · Gravy sauce 💡 Recipe Note The quantities and steps in this recipe may be slightly different from what you see in the video.
