Trailer: 'The Sand of Music' by Diana Mavroleon.

An exploration into the impact of globalisation on the lives and work of the hereditary caste musicians of the Thar Desert in Western Rajasthan, lndia. This is a 6 min trailer shot on H-8 whilst on location during a feasibility study for a feature documentary developed into an expanded cinema work. The project includes the option of inviting live performances by Thar Desert artists: musicians, dancers and puppeteers to accompany the cinematic installation. This cinematic installation could take place either as an individual/stand alone event, and also featuring as part of an arts festival. It also has the potential to tour independently.
