Grand Canyon, Hiking The Abyss to Mohave Point
We took the Red Shuttle Bus at The Grand Canyon Village to The Abyss. The cliffs at The Abyss are 3,000 feet from rim to Canyon floor. The view from the trail is beautiful and memorable for those how have no fear of heights. Hiking to Mohave Point is not strenuous on the maintained dirt trail. Many opportunities for shade and picnic spots are along the trail. As we got closer to Mohave Point the canyon opens up to an incredible panoramic spot for enjoying the impressive view. This day hike is a wonderful addition to any vacation.
